Sponge Cake
Do you need an excellent light dessert and you have way too many eggs?
YIELD: A WHOLE CAKE
Ingredients
Part 1 | |
1 cup (120g) | Flour |
1 cup (200g) | Sugar |
1/2 tsp | Baking Powder |
1/2 cup | Water |
1/4 cup | Oil |
10 | Egg Yolks |
Part 2 | |
10 | Egg Whites |
1/2 tsp | Cream of tartar |
Instructions
- Beat all of Part 1 together for 15 mins
- Beat all of Part 2 together for 10 mins
- Fold Part 1 into Part 2 into ungreased tube pan
- Bake for 50 mins at 350 degrees
- Invert immediately
- Eat!
Notes
- That's a lot of yolks to separate. Consider placing the raw egg in your hand and letting the whites slip out between your fingers
- Whipping cream and strawberries on top are great!
